Matthew 23:34-36 When God Gives the Rope- Patience That Ripens Judgment

May 3, 2026 By Matthew Cooke Leave a Comment

We tend to think of patience & grace as basically synonyms. But biblically speaking, that is not always the case. Sometimes God delays judgment in order to display mercy. But sometimes He delays judgment in order to expose rebellion, harden the self-righteous in their chosen path, and vindicate the justice of His wrath. In Matthew […]

November 30, 2025 By Matthew Cooke Leave a Comment

Biblical Foundations of Civics- Lecture 2- History- Meaningless, Cyclical, or Linear?

November 12, 2025 By Matthew Cooke Leave a Comment

Skip mere trivia; pursue timeless wisdom. Pastor Matt contrasts three views of history—meaningless, cyclical, linear—and shows why the biblical, linear view both explains the past and shaped America’s civics. Learn what to recover, what to avoid, and how to judge “progress” by an objective good.

Acts 1:6-7 Kingdom Restoration

November 9, 2025 By Matthew Cooke Leave a Comment

Are the disciples still slow to understand when they ask about the restoration of the kingdom? Many would come to that conclusion, but it seems unlikely given the context of the question. Listen as pastor Dreamy Eyes explains the nature of their question and how that affects us today.

The Greater Conquest: Introduction to Acts

October 22, 2025 By Matthew Cooke Leave a Comment

Pastor Carr begins his introduction to the book of Acts by showcasing the continuity between it and the book of Joshua. He demonstrates that Luke intentionally structures Acts as a book of conquest that is intended to mirror Israel’s initial conquest of the promised land.

June 8, 2025 By Matthew Cooke Leave a Comment

What did Jesus mean when He told His followers not to be called Rabbi, to call no one on earth Father, and not to be called leaders? Is there something inherently wrong with those titles? Not at all. Listen as Pastor Matt digs into this text to show that something much greater than a legalistic […]

May 12, 2024 By Matthew Cooke Leave a Comment

We all know the text. Matthew 21:21 Jesus answered and said to them, “Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ it […]

Matthew 19:28 Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. But what does ‘in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His […]

John 18:28-19:15 A Kingdom Not of this World

March 12, 2023 By Matthew Cooke Leave a Comment

One of the most misinterpreted scriptures in the Bible is John 18:36 My Kingdom is not of this world. Because of their twisting of this text, Christians have willingly left the public square. People have quoted this text in defense of the idea that Christians should stay out of politics, and that we should not […]
