On the surface the answer to the question in the title of this sermon seems obvious… the question even seems absolutely ridiculous! Of course, Christ doesn’t delight in divided families! But what are we to make of Jesus’ words in Matthew 10:35-36 For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household?

Listen as Pastor Matt shows how that this text is pointing to a prophesy form the book of Micah, and how it in no way contradicts God’s multi-generational promises.
