You may be shocked to discover that the phrase ‘personal relationship with Christ’ does not occur anywhere in the Bible. He saves us for a purpose much greater than ourselves. He makes of us a community of image bearers who model for the world what loving relationships are supposed to look like as we strive together for holiness and the advancement of the Kingdom to the ends of the earth. With whom are your deepest, and most devoted relationships? Walk with me through the New Testament as we demonstrate from the Scriptures that the deepest most meaningful relationships that you have should be with the people of God; indeed the Church is a family.
