The masses saw him as one who would provide physical bread like Moses had. The Pharisees saw him as one who would reward them with the Kingdom of Heaven because of their obedience to God’s Law. But Jesus presents Himself as the true bread that come down out of heaven, the one who would keep the law for us, and offer His own life as an atoning sacrifice for our many sins. Rejoice! John 6:54-58 “He who eats My flesh & drinks My blood has eternal life, & I will raise him up on the last day. 55 “For My flesh is true food, & My blood is true drink. 56 “He who eats My flesh & drinks My blood abides in Me, & I in him. 57 “As the living Father sent Me, & I live because of the Father, so he who eats Me, he also will live because of Me. 58 “This is the bread which came down out of heaven; not as the fathers ate & died; he who eats this bread will live forever.” Share this… Facebook Pinterest Twitter Linkedin
