Where baptism is the sacrament of regeneration, communion is the sacrament of sanctification- becoming holy, being conformed increasingly to God’s will- His Law, or to the image of Christ. That is all the same thing. We are born again which gives us the desire to be like Jesus, & we feast on Him by faith, listening to His word preached, acknowledging any untoward way in us, repenting, trusting in Christ’s Sacrifice, & recommitting to living as Kingdom citizens going forward. We must understand bread & wheat biblically in order to understand communion. Listen as Pastor Matt explains the pain of the process of sanctification and the glorious outcome that waits those who believe.
