When we are empty where do we look? When we are in despair to whom or to what do we turn? God intends for us to run to Him. It does not weary Him- it honors Him. It testifies of God’s enough-ness when turn to Him in times of need. So we shouldn’t be surprised when we see that Jesus tells us that we we pray that we should actually request that God condescend to fill our needs…. but also take note- as recipients of grace we are filled with enough love to make us equally concerned for the needs of others. Give US OUR- not just give ME MY.
