God commanded man to love their neighbor so the Pharisees redefined the word neighbor; limiting it to a small select group of people. Jesus taught that your enemy is your neighbor and then, in love, He practiced what he preached; demonstrating His love toward us in that while we were sinners- even enemies of God- He died for the ungodly. Go and love like Jesus, and trust in Jesus’ death and resurrection where you have failed to do so.
