The devil took Jesus up to a very high mountain and offered Him all the kingdoms of this world. Satan will always take you ‘up’ to tempt you. He will always offer you ease of life and desirable things. He will always make much of you & make you the center of your universe.

His self-exalting deceptions are many. He says, ‘Take what is rightfully yours!’ ‘Do as little as you can get by with without getting in trouble.’ ‘You deserve this.’ ‘God would want you to be happy.’ ‘You’ve done to much already.’ ‘Why should you serve them with how they treat you?’ That it the wisdom of the kingdom that is passing away. It is the path that Jesus took, the path of the cross, that leads to an eternal Kingdom with eternal glory.
