How much of our lives are governed more by tradition than they are by truth?  To some degree or another, we are all affected by our surroundings; there is a cultural pull that colors how we think and act.  Even if our corporate worship is counter-cultural, it is no doubt influenced by its own culture and tradition.  In fact, you can’t really do anything more than once or twice without it becoming a new tradition.  Even constant change can become a tradition.

How do we keep ourselves from being governed by tradition instead of truth?  How do we let truth guide us?
